This sculpture was made during my college years and is a portrait of a close friend. Working on it gave me a chance to explore not just likeness, but also the quiet presence and character that a face can hold. I wanted the work to feel personal and grounded, carrying a sense of calm and honesty. For me, it is less about perfection and more about capturing a moment of connection—between the subject, the material, and myself as the maker
